I had a scary experience this weekend. Sonja was out of town for a girl's weekend at the cabin. I had the privelege a staying home with two dogs, our dog Xeno and a friend's dog's, Tundra. I left the dogs home alone for about ten hours while I golfed and watched some football with friends. When I got home our friend's dog couldn't walk. It would take a few steps and fall over. It doesn't help that it is a three legged thirteen your old dog. So I carried it outsdie and helped it stand while it did it's business.
I decided to go to bed and see if things were better in the morning. No such luck. So I carried him to his food and he ate a little, and outside again to do his thing.
So here I am with someone's else's dog who is literally on it's last leg. I decide to go to a little yard work and then head to the vet.
Much to my surprise, when I came into the house two hours later the dog had walked down the basement steps and was back on all three legs. So I brought him back upstairs and fed him and he ate like he needed it. I have no idea what happened. Maybe he had low blood sugar from going so long without food or he was just toying with me. He sure gave me a fright and relief in an eighteen hour span.
I flew...twice Scares me every time. I survived too....also scary. ; )
ReplyDeleteGiving up my office downtown was a little scary. I'm loving the shift it brought about.
ReplyDeleteLeaving a training session in the middle- leaving it incomplete! Yikes!
